DERMAL FILLERS Juvederm Ultra 2+3 (0.55ml) from £250
Juvederm Ultra 4 (0.80ml) from £300
Dermal fillers are injectable fillers made from a natural component of our skin which acts to hydrate, maintaining skin elasticity and tone. They are injected just below the surface of the skin and act by 'plumping' out deeper lines and wrinkles. All treatments are given by the Lacosette practising doctor, Dr Gillian Farmer. Initial consultation is free and if you don't have the time, most questions can be handled over the phone by Dr Farmer.
Dermal Fillers are ideal for treating the following areas:
• Nasolabial lines (between the nose and mouth)
• Marionette lines (‘smile lines’ in the corners of the mouth)
• Glabellar lines ( between the eyebrows)
• Depressions and blemishes (such as acne scars)
• Dermal Fillers can also be used to enhance your lips
Juvederm Ultra fillers are used at Lacosette, which are made from Hyaluronic acid. This is a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to hydrate the skin and add volume. Unfortunately it diminishes with age, contributing to the formation of wrinkles and folds. Juvederm Ultra works to correct this by adding volume to facial tissue thereby restoring a smoother appearance to the face.
How do these treatments work?
A simple injection is placed under the skin at dermis level with a very fine needle, replenishing the skin’s natural volume. As Juvederm Ultra contains a local anaesthetic, the injection causes minimal discomfort and no additional anaesthetic is necessary.
How long does the treatment take?
The treatment takes approximately fifteen minutes, and the results are immediately visible.
Are there any possible side effects?
Occasionally some people may experience symptoms such as slight swelling, redness, itching or tenderness in the treated area but these reactions are quite normal and usually disappear within one to six days.
How long do the results last?
Results of this treatment are immediate and the effects can last up to a year. The duration of the effect varies with each individual. The treatment is non permanent and the filler is absorbed naturally over time, so it's your choice when to have further treatment to maintain the effect.
